  • Cameron McIndoe - Founder

    Cameron McIndoe - Founder

    As a young adult Cameron came across Andrei Tarkovsky’s historical epic drama Andrei Rublev. In the film a young boy is challenged to oversee the mammoth task of casting an enormous bell. A spell was cast.

    Cameron moved to London to learn the ceramic shell bronze casting technique. He returned to Australia in 1995 to launch Fundere Foundry. Twenty-seven years on he has overseen the fabrication of many large-scale sculptures including works by John Kelly, Louis Laumen, Stelarc and Dagmar Cyrulla.

    Alongside Jason, Cameron is the co-director of the art fabrication company SculptureCo.

  • Jason Waterhouse - Sculpture Technician

    Jason Waterhouse - Sculpture Technician

    Sculptor, Jason Waterhouse has a wealth of experience in sculpture fabrication and public art projects. He has work in numerous private and public art collections including clients such as VicRoads, Level Crossing Removal Authority, Brimbank City Council, Hepburn Shire and Ballarat City Council.

    Alongside Cameron, Jason is the co-director of the art fabrication company SculptureCo. and is the co-director of Stockroom Kyneton.

  • Lish Barraud - Wax Technician

    Lish Barraud - Wax Technician

    As part of the pre-casting team, Lish specialises in wax modelling and re-touching. Lish brings refined skill and an eye for form to Fundere Foundry. After receiving painting training at RMIT Lish travelled to London to learn Lost Wax Casting processes.

    As an artist, sculptor and keen gardener Joelle brings to wax world attention to detail and a broad range of skills. She is also the green thumb to who we can credit the magnificence of the foundry gardens.

    Nic Burridge - Postcast Technician

    Sculptor Nic Burridge has a keen interest in research, process and technique; skills that heavily inform his art practice and are invaluable in ‘chase world’. Specialising in all things post cast, Nic brings a high level of skill and a keen attention to detail to the metal finishing process.

    After completing Spacial Practice at VCA, Salma has pursued a career in Arts Administration and Project Management. Salma’s ability to co-ordinate our projects and keep the team in line ensures that the Fundere machine always runs smoothly.
