St Peter The Apostle,
Re-Casting,
2025/2026

This bronze statue of St Peter The Apostle, originally cast in 2002 was cut from it’s plinth and stolen from Hoppers Crossing, VIC in mid 2025 leaving only the feet behind. As the original statue was not recovered, the only way of replacing it was to re-cast.

Re-casting began in late 2025, and was completed and installed in early 2026. By using reference images from the original 2002 statue, we were able to ensure the replacement matched the original as closely as possible.
